Common Vaillant Boiler Fault Codes

F.22 — Low water pressure. The most common Vaillant fault. The boiler needs repressurising to 1–1.5 bar. If pressure keeps dropping, there’s a leak somewhere in the system.
F.28 / F.29 — Ignition failure / flame loss. The boiler is failing to light, or the flame cuts out shortly after igniting. Can indicate a gas supply issue, faulty ignition electrode, or PCB fault.
F.75 — Pump or pressure sensor fault. The boiler can’t detect a pressure change when the pump starts. Often the pump or pressure sensor needs replacing.
F.62 — Gas valve fault. The gas valve is taking too long to close. Usually requires valve replacement.
F.83 — Flow temperature below minimum. Often caused by low system pressure or an air lock.
